The higher we get the farther we see. One cannot see past a mountain from its base, but once climbed it will provide the perch for new and wonderful views. Vision is at its most insightful when great obstacles have been conquered. Such was the vision when Xaverians landed in Kunming, China on the 17th of May, 2013. To strengthen India-China bilateral ties, leaders of both nations - President Mr. Hu Jintao and Prime Minister Mr. Manmohan Singh came together to declare 2012 as the year of India - China friendship and cooperation. Both leaders promised to unveil initiatives to boost cultural exchanges and overall contacts.
St. Xavier's Collegiate School, Kolkata for the third time carried forth this banner of peace and friendship across to Kunming, China in the form of the 3rd Student Exchange Programme, which lasted for ten days.
Enthusiasm is the invisible source of energy that our students find so attractive and enthralling. We light the match and they will carry the torch. This Student Exchange Programme between Shida Fuzhong High School, Kunming, China and St. Xavier's Collegiate School, Kolkata India has made the lives of our students rich because there were more deposits than withdrawals.
